Google needs to keep the lights on too, right? They’ve got bills to pay, kids to feed, and so forth. So them wanting to get revenue from a product they’ve managed for more than a decade out of the kindness of their hearts makes sense, right?

Well if advertisers agree with the above sentiment, they should have no problem with the recent news that Google Product Search will now be known as Google Shopping – and it will function solely on a pay-for-play model.
