Shaw Floors was looking to increase brand awareness by driving traffic to their website and acquiring opt-ins to their email database.

Solution

Empower MediaMarketing developed the strategy to create a promotional microsite with an instant win sweepstakes. Consumers were driven to register to play every day for chance to win a rug an hour. The promotion lasted 60 days and was supported through a digital media plan utilizing a mix of contextually relevant placements, large reach sites, ad networks, email newsletter sponsorships and sponsorships on HGTV. Search marketing was also integrated to leverage the display campaign. Empower measured the online campaign’s performance via an ad effectiveness study and campaign analytics.

Results
The promotional microsite had over a 100,000 unique registrations and over 900,000 return visits and game plays. We exceeded our opt-in goal by 40% and there was a 43% increase in aided brand awareness - significantly increasing all brand metrics and purchase intent.
