Empower Mentoring Startups with The Brandery


For the third year in a row, Empower MediaMarketing has served as an agency mentor for The Brandery.

The Brandery is a nationally-ranked seed stage startup accelerator. Founded in 2010, it’s ranked as one of the top programs in the United States.

Collaborating with The Brandery, and its annual class of startup companies, is one way we ensure innovation is a constant part of Empower’s culture.”

Empower has collaborated with each class to date in a variety of ways, while focusing on one or two startups in particular.

Three Years of Service

2010: Venturepax is a website and mobile app that allows outdoor enthusiasts to capture their adventures, amplify them across multiple digital platforms and be inspired by others’ adventures. Empower helped Venturepax with its launch strategy.

2011: ChoreMonster is a suite of web and mobile apps that help make chores fun for kids. Empower helped them, amongst other things, identify and better define the company’s target audience.

Road Trippers is a simple and intuitive road trip planner that helps you discover, plan and book the best places and experiences along your way, curated by local experts and travel writers. In fact, The Empower Group’s CEO, Jim Price, invested in Road Trippers as a result of this experience.

2012:  OffTrack Planet is a digital-based travel brand for independent travelers. Empower helped OTP with their search marketing strategy as well as paid media and content strategies.

Each class of startups graduates The Brandery upon conclusion of Demo Day. In 2012, 11 different startups graduated. This translates into 26 different startup graduates, receiving a total of $15 million in funding to date as a group or an average of $442,307 per company.
