Finance Consultant, VP/SVP

Empower is looking for a senior-level consultant (VP/SVP) with agency finance experience to work with the agency leadership team on evolving the financial operations, compensation models and success metrics of the core agency business to achieve our aggressive growth goals over the next few years.

  • Work with the CFO, to enforce and establish setting best financial standards for a media advertising organization
  • Partner with the Chief Client Officer and Business Unit leads to recommend new compensation models, success metrics and implement best business practices for Empower’s clients’ businesses
  • Build on existing work/platforms to develop best practice on financial/business reporting for leadership
  • Work closely with head of Ops and head of HR to determine best business practices and organizational structure for Empower, including the evolution of roles and responsibilities within the finance department
  • Support the Chief Investment Officer and the Chief Product Officer with pricing and other financially-related business needs
  • Provide financial thought leadership and pricing strategies for Business Development activities

Qualifications and Experience

  • Managing financial staff including Accounts Payable, Receivables, Reporting, etc.
  • Providing broader industry perspective, financial thought leadership and new pricing strategies for Business Development activities
  • As a senior leader represents the Values and Cultural Norms of the Agency
  • Active coach and mentor to subordinates 
  • Provide thought leadership for respective area of expertise/responsibility
  • Manage/lead multiple direct reports
  • Active collaborator within the Agency
  • Manage business/financials for business and/or specific functional area
  • Active participant in Business Development
  • Extensive client-facing responsibility; representing solutions and business-building initiatives
  • Identify and recommend Agency efficiencies, best practices
  • Represent Empower externally; in the community and across the advertising/media industry
  • Participate in the Empower Talent Management Program; with other officers evaluate talent agency-wide on an annual basis
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Provide innovative, state of the art solutions for client businesses, including product recommendations
