Empower Adds To Agency Leadership Team
Laura Nix, Kellie Kantner And Jennifer Jackson Named Senior Vice Presidents.

CINCINNATI (November 22, 2019) – Joining Empower’s leadership team is two business unit leads driving half of the agency’s clientele: Laura Nix and Jennifer Jackson – and Kellie Kantner – head of operations working alongside president and chief operating officer, Rob FitzGerald.

“I’m thrilled to announce the promotions of these three women who are largely responsible for Empower’s 30 percent growth this past year and each play a critical role in helping Empower reach its full Creative Media potential,” said president and COO Rob FitzGerald. “More importantly, it’s imperative to our continued success to surround the agency leadership table with those who challenge the status quo, push their peers to be better leaders and serve as a role model for our employees – which Laura, Kellie and Jennifer have all proven to do and more,” FitzGerald says.

SVP, Laura Nix has climbed up the ranks in her 20-year career at Empower making her a well-rounded leader that clients and colleagues trust and look to as a guiding light. She’s molded herself into being a retail thought leader credited to her experience driving results for clients like Famous Footwear and PetSmart. Clients also in Nix’s unit are Gorilla Glue, O’Keeffe’s, O-Cedar and Brooks Running.

In her five years at Empower, SVP, Kellie Kantner built the agency’s program management team where she has been directly responsible for process workflow and design, optimization and hands on implementation of these procedures, as well as ongoing resource planning and allocation for the organization. With Kantner’s proven success and the agency’s rapid growth, it was a natural progression into the role of head of operations.

SVP, Jennifer Jackson is widely recognized as a force of nature who brings more than 20 years of big corporation experience from Foote Cone & Belding, Microsoft, Starcom and Vogue to Empower clients like Wendy’s, Tempur Sealy and Fifth Third Bank. Having been at the agency for only two years, Jackson has made an unforgettable stamp on Empower and driven one of the highest performing business units.

Nix, Kantner and Jackson exemplify female empowerment at Empower. In fact, 70 percent of Director level positions and above are held by women. Founded by Mary Beth Price nearly 35-years ago, the independent agency has always stood out amongst the male-dominated Madison Avenue of advertising.
