PetSmart Names Empower Media Agency-of-Record
Largest specialty pet retailer partners with independent creative media agency
CINCINNATI (January 2, 2019) – PetSmart has selected Empower as its new agency of record to lead all traditional media planning and buying duties in the U.S.
With the ever-evolving video landscape, PetSmart was seeking a new agency partner to help make strategic media decisions.
Empower Senior Vice President, Ashley Walters states “Consumers are viewing premium content on more than their television. While viewership is fragmented, overall video consumption increased 20 percent within the last three years. At Empower, we know how to reach the pet parent audience whenever and wherever they’re watching and look forward to implementing an advanced video strategy for PetSmart that matches consumers with the unique offerings and experiences available at PetSmart stores.”
The PetSmart business will be led out of Empower’s Cincinnati headquarters.
