Crystalyn Portwood Joins Empower as VP of Business Development
Denver Native Leaves iHeartMedia to Pursue Career in the Consumer Marketing Capital
CINCINNATI (June 7, 2018) – Empower’s client portfolio is expanding at a record-breaking pace and so is its business development team. The creative media agency has boosted its business development efforts with the addition of vice president Crystalyn Portwood.
In 2017, the independent agency reported its highest revenue in 33 years while securing multiple new clients, including two of its top clients: Ashley HomeStore and Fifth Third Bank.
“Coming out of our best year yet, we knew we had to double down on business development to keep up the momentum and demand,” senior vice president Ashley Walters said. “Crystalyn Portwood’s strong media background and proven success at iHeartMedia building meaningful relationships with clients like Schomp BMW, Healthcare Corporation of America, Beldon LeafGuard and Bellco Credit Union made her the perfect addition to Empower,” Walters explained.

Together, they built local and national layered marketing campaigns with proven results. Prior to this she worked with CBS Radio in Minneapolis and St. Louis.
